What We Offer

The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT) is a method of assessment and treatment for spinal pain developed by New Zealand Physiotherapist Robin McKenzie. It has been widely used for more than 30 years. That means that if a problem exists in or around the spine, an MDT evaluation may be appropriate. This is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education that is trusted and used by clinicians and patients all over the world for back and neck pains. A key feature is the initial assessment – a safe and reliable way to reach an accurate diagnosis and only then make the appropriate treatment plan. Expensive tests such as MRI’s are often unnecessary. I can rapidly determine whether the method will be effective for each patient. In its truest sense. Have you had more than one episode of low back pain or neck pain over the past few months or years?

Do you feel worse during or immediately after prolonged bending or stooping; as in making beds, vacuuming, gardening, concreting, etc?

  • Do you feel worse when sitting for prolonged periods or on rising from the sitting position, i.e. after watching TV or working on the computer?
  • Does your low back pain feel better when you are walking?

I can help you if you have any of the following:

  • Difficultly bending due to stiffness or pain in your lower back
  • Pain that starts in the back or neck and seems to spread to the buttocks or shoulders
  • Intermittent pins and needles or numbness in the feet or hands
  • Aching pain into the elbows or knees that hasn’t been assisted by treatment to these areas
  • Sciatica

Good Day,

Thank you so much for trusting me with your Physical Therapy needs. I look forward to our upcoming visits. To maximize your experience during sessions please provide critical health information by completing the PATIENT HISTORY FORM.

This step will ensure I fully understand your condition and will prepare me for your evaluation.

Please complete it in full and as detailed as you can including past medical issues and treatments you have already tried.

BILLING FORM is necessary for me to be able to charge you or your insurance and needs to be completed in detail and signed. Please do not skip any parts of this form to assure your information is correct and payment for Physical Therapy can be processed.

I accept cash, checks, and Venmo payments.

To prepare well for your visit make sure you wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing. Be prepared to be able to expose the area of your concern as I can not examine you properly with your clothes on. ( shorts, sleeveless tops, loose shirts are preferable )

My clinic is located by the east end of the bypass. As you drive downhill on the bypass towards Gallows Bay stop at the light and turn left. I am in a second building on your right. It is a grey stone building and my office is downstairs on your right side. Suite # 2. The sign is in the window.

Please text me from your car when you arrive for your appointment. No need to come early as I only have one patient at the time at the clinic. I will respond with a text when I am ready for your visit.

Please DO NOT wear any perfume.

I value you as my patient and need your cooperation with keeping scheduled appointments so that I can provide your care. Please confirm the text reminder as soon as you receive it on the morning of your appointment. Missing or late canceling an appointment (less than 24 h notice) means I am unable to fill this appointment time with another patient who desperately needs care. Missed appointments are subject to a $90.00 charge.
